“Art is not an export commodity that can simply be sent from A to B. It thrives on encounters, dialogue, and new perspectives. When 27 artists from 27 countries collaborate, they create not only new projects but also lasting connections that extend far beyond this open call. This is what Austrian international cultural policy stands for: creating spaces where ideas can cross borders and unexpected collaborations can emerge through exchange. I look forward to bold proposals that invite us to see the world through different eyes.”
“For NeverAtHome, collaboration begins with openness: without a predefined theme, but with genuine curiosity about one another. This open call brings artists from Austria together with artists in 27 countries, giving them the space to develop something collectively from their different experiences. We are particularly interested in what can only emerge through exchange: new ways of working, unexpected perspectives and relationships that extend beyond a single project. We want to offer artists not only financial support, but also trust and guidance throughout the process.”
